Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif in his address to PGMI said that

"there was no more unsatisfactory performance by the Institute of Public Health. He said a roadmap had been evolved for reorganisation of this institute and concrete steps were being taken on war footing for its capacity building. He said that a policy for deputing right person at right place had been adopted and hoped that institute would be fully activated and would play its role in research, training of doctors and elimination of viral diseases."

Without strengthening the institutions of Preventive and primary health care with clear mandate and empowerment along with resources we will never be able to save ourselves from disasters on the health front.
